Warranty Policy

1. Warranty Coverage

 

Acclaim Car and Truck we are committed to providing high-quality automotive parts and labor services. We stand behind the work we do and the parts we use, and we offer the following warranty coverage:

 

    a. Parts Warranty:

 

All new parts installed by our auto shop a subject to a manufacturer's warranty. If a covered part fails within the warranty period from the manufacturer due to a defect, we will replace it at no cost to you. If it is a defect from manufacturing, labor is not warrantied.

 

    b. Labor Warranty:

 

We provide a warranty on all labor services performed by our skilled technicians. We guarantee that our workmanship is free from defects for a period of 6 months or 1,000 miles whichever comes first, from the date of service. If any issues arise due to faulty workmanship within this warranty period, we will correct the problem at no additional cost to you.

 

    c. Customer-Supplied Parts:

 

Parts brought in by customers are not covered by any warranties provided by Acclaim Car and Truck. Any issues arising from the use of these parts are the sole responsibility of the customer.

 

NONE OF OUR WARRANTIES INCLUDE TOWING.

 

2. Warranty Exclusions:

 

Please note that our warranty does not cover the following:

 

    a. Normal Wear and Tear:

 

Our warranty does not cover parts and components that naturally wear out over time due to normal use, such as brake pads, tires, and wiper blades etc...

 

    b. Improper Maintenance:

 

If you fail to follow the manufacturer's recommended maintenance schedule for your vehicle, the warranty may be voided.

 

    c. Misuse or Neglect:

 

Any damage caused by misuse, neglect, or accident is not covered by our warranty.

 

    d. Third-party Modifications:

 

If any part or component of your vehicle has been modified or repaired by another auto shop or individual without our prior approval, our warranty may be voided.

 

    e. Environmental or External Factors:

 

We are not responsible for damage caused by environmental factors, road hazards, accidents, or acts of nature.

 

    f. Out of state or out of town:

 

If you are out of state or out of drivable range, we do not cover tows to our shop.

 

3. Warranty Transfer

 

Our warranty coverage is transferable to subsequent owners of the vehicle within the warranty period. However, please inform the new owner to retain a copy of the original invoice and warranty documentation.

Payment and Pick up Policy

1. Pickup Hours:

 

- Pickup hours are from 6am to 1:30pm on Monday - Friday. We are closed for pickups on most major holidays, see office for detailed list of non-operation days.

 

2. Payment:

 

- Full payment is due upon pickup. If full payment is not made the vehicle will not be released and storage fees may apply.

 

3. Third Party Pickup:

 

- If someone other than the vehicle owner is picking up the vehicle, the owner must notify the office beforehand.

 

4. After Hours Pickup:

 

- If you have arranged an after-hours pickup, we are not responsible for items lost or stolen from the vehicle.

 

5. Storage Fees:

 

- Storage fees may apply if a vehicle is not picked up within 48 hours of completion of repairs or service. The storage fee is $35 per day, and it will begin accruing after the grace period expires.

 

- Customers will be notified of storage charges when they schedule their pickup. It is the responsibility of the vehicle owner to pick up the vehicle promptly to avoid storage fees.

 

- Storage fees may apply to work waiting for approval. You have 48 hours to approve work before storage fees accrue.

 

6. Grace Period:

 

- We offer a 48-hour grace period from the time the repair or service is completed. During this period, no storage fees will be charged.

Weather Liabilities Policy

At Acclaim Car and Truck Repair, we understand that weather conditions can sometimes impact our ability to provide timely services and affect the condition of vehicles on our premises. This Weather Liabilities Policy outlines our approach to managing weather-related situations and the responsibilities of both our customers and our business.

 

1. Extreme Weather Events

 

In the event of extreme weather conditions, such as severe storms, hurricanes, floods, or any other acts of nature, Acclaim Car and Truck Repair may need to take necessary precautions to protect the safety of our employees, customers, and vehicles on our premises. These precautions may include but are not limited to:

 

- Temporary suspension of services

- Closure of our facility for safety reasons

- Evacuation of employees and customers from the premises

- Relocation of vehicles to safer storage areas (if feasible)

 

2. Impact on Repair and Service Schedules

 

Extreme weather events or adverse weather conditions may disrupt our repair and service schedules. This may result in delays in completing repairs or services. We will make every effort to communicate these delays to our customers promptly.

 

3. Vehicle Protection

 

While we take reasonable measures to protect vehicles on our premises during extreme weather events, customers are advised to consider additional protection for their vehicles. This may include purchasing insurance coverage that accounts for damage caused by adverse weather conditions.

 

4. Liability for Weather-Related Damage

 

Acclaim Car and Truck Repair will not be liable for any damage to vehicles caused directly or indirectly by extreme weather events or adverse weather conditions, including but not limited to:

 

- Hail damage

- Flooding

- Wind damage

- Storm-related damage

- Sun Damage

 

Customers are encouraged to consult their insurance providers to understand their coverage and options for protection against weather-related damage.

 

5. Communication

 

In the event of an extreme weather event affecting our operations, we will make every effort to communicate with our customers in a timely manner. We will provide updates through direct contact methods, as necessary

Transmission Warranty Policy

1. Warranty Coverage

 

  1. Parts Warranty: All new parts installed by our auto shop a subject to a manufacturer's warranty. If a covered part fails within the warranty period from the manufacturer due to a defect, we will replace it at no cost to you. If it is a defect from manufacturing, labor is not warrantied.
  2. Labor Warranty: We provide a warranty on labor services performed by our skilled technicians. We guarantee that our workmanship is free from defects for a period of 1 year with unlimited miles, from the date of service. If any issues arise due to faulty workmanship within this warranty period, we will correct the problem at no additional cost to you. Leak repair labor is warranted. Parts replacement labor is subject to approval.
  3. Customer-Supplied Parts: WE WILL NOT USE CUSTOMER SUPPLIED TRANSMISSION PARTS.

 

2. Warranty Exclusions

  1. We WILL NOT Warranty any electrical component whatsoever, which includes computer modules, solenoids, sensors, wire harness, links, faulty wires and/or relays, etc.
  2. We are not Responsible for damage from abuse because of: (a) Neutral Drops, (b) Line locking, (c)Excessive Vibrations, (d) Accidents, (e) Towing Excessive Weight: We will NOT replace planetary gears, sprags, and/or stripped splines caused by the aforementioned.
  3. We are not responsible for damage resulting from malfunction left unresolved in the following areas: (a) Cooling System, (b) Engine, (c) Drive Line and Components, (d) Differential, (e) Broken Mounts
  4. We are not responsible for damage resulting directly or indirectly from workmanship by other people, including the owner.
  5. WE WILL NOT WARRANTY ANYTHING DAMAGED AS A RESULT OF PULLING YOUR STUCK FRIEND OUT, OR WATER DAMAGE FROM RUNNING RIVERS, LAKES, OCEANS ETC. OR FROM BEING STUCK YOURSELF. BUY A WINCH!

 

CONDITIONS OF TRANSMISSION WARRANTY

  1. NEVER ENGAGE the transmission when the engine is idling fast.
  2. NEVER ENGAGE the selector into reverse when the vehicle is moving forward.
  3. NEVER ENGAGE the selector into any forward gear when the vehicle is moving in reverse.
  4. NEVER IGNORE LEAKS. Check transmission fluid weekly, add fluid if low and bring vehicle in as soon as possible for repair. If Transmission is damaged due to low fluid, we will repair the leak; CUSTOMER IS RESPONISIBLE FOR DAMAGE!
  5. NEVER hold the brake and raise engine speed above idle.
  6. Keep engine tuned and running smooth with idle speed to factory specifications. Keep vacuum hoses and cooling system in good working order and repair.
  7. The Vehicle MUST be brought back within 400-500 miles for checkup, or the Warranty is invalid.
